Skincare, Only Better

There's a new skincare guru in town and her name is Destinee.

I had the opportunity to visit Hello Lovely Skin & Beauty inside Sola Salons in West Des Moines a couple weeks ago and I'm here now to share why you need to book your own appointment FAST.

I've never had a real facial before. I've done mini-facials at the hair salon while I wait for my color to process but nothing like the Classically Yours Facial at Hello Lovely. So when, Destinee reached out to offer me a great deal on a big-girl facial, I couldn't resist.

First Impressions

Destinee's face is FLAWLESS. Her skin was more than glowing. It was like a radiant message from God that I was in the right place. GORGEOUS. It is clear that she lives and breathes skincare. I was immediately comfortable with anything she wanted to do. Oh.. you want to massage my face with sound-waves?? Yes. Let's do it! (and be sure you do because that was my favorite part of my visit). She has her accolades hanging on the wall and I noticed she was the VALEDICTORIAN of her graduating class. Okay! She's really smart too! Destinee was great at explaining everything to me, not just what she wanted to do but why. She analyzed my skin and explained everything that would be happening. You never know when you meet a new hairstylist/massage therapist/aesthetician whether you will like them or not. First visits can be awkward. Not with Destinee. She has an incredible personality and talked as much or as little as I would engage and I LOVE that. So she would remind me what she was doing, we'd talk about it a little, and then I would shut up and enjoy it.

The Service

The Classically Yours Facial comes with a deep cleansing, exfoliation, pore extraction, massage, masque, specialty serums and all the hydration your face needs. Destinee was so gentle with my pore extractions. She's like next level pimple popper, I barely felt a thing. The massage was at an even higher level. This massage is proprietary so I don't want to divulge too much information because she worked so hard to find this technology and she's the only salon in the DSM metro that has it. But HOLY MOLY was it magic. I've never felt more relaxed in my life. I think I hold a lot of tension in my face but it was all gone after this. Magic. Pure, magic. Then she gave me all the serums my skin needed, I bought some of the magic she uses, I made my next appointment and then I went home to fight touching my super smooth face.

Yes. Im going again. Im telling all my friends. This lady is the real deal. I'm so happy with how my skin looks and feels. I thought that something like this would cost HUNDREDS of dollars but she is priced very sensibly considering the results Destinee produces. There are different levels of facial you can receive but I recommend getting one that comes with the massage.
